It’s been sitting in my garage all winter but we haven’t been sitting still. Cliffs notes:
Manual steering conversion
New radiator with denser core
Janky Jetta turn signal replaced with real Corvette bezel/housing
Still needs wiring work including wipers, horn and turn signal

something tell me the turn signal issue might be resolves once you...you know, use a turn signal meant for the car :)
joking aside, the wire for the headlight and the turn signal are probably corroded and touching somewhere and thats whats throwing off the relay for the blinking.

I’m gonna try. haven’t signed up yet because we have a lot of unknowns still in the car. But if we can, we will.

Something of note (since my car is also GM and old) I need to have my car running in order to get enough juice to run the wipers at the right speed. otherwise they just go too slow.

Hmmmm I don’t think that’s our issue but we don’t know.

Probably not, just figured I’d mention it because I had a bit of a panic attack when I rebuilt my wiper motor and it didn’t work right.

some of the old gm wiper motors had a squirter pump on them to spray the windshield. they wear out, and slow down the motor a good little bit.

I do have that wiper motor but my squirters work. The motor works fine, it is just a little slow. it will still pass PA inspection but it needs the engine running to get enough juice.

mine had gotten to the point where it would barely crawl across the wind shield, and every so often the wipers would get stuck, i had ditched one arm, and then the whole crossover and arm that turned it, it was quicker then, but still seemed sluggish, after i got rid of the pump, it pepped back up like it should, but the pump had never worked while i had it.....
so long as all the stuff works, might as well keep them around......

I’d get a set of aluminum vortec heads for this thing. saves you 50lbs over the nose and will probably add 50hp.
